St Catherine’s Hospice Charity Golf Day

February 09 2018 | Golf

Following on from a very successful event in 2016 and 2017, we would like to invite you to the St Catherine’s Hospice charity golf day here at Hever Castle Golf Club on Thursday 26th April 2018.The first golf day we hosted in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice was held in memory of Colin Jones, a former member, who spent his last few days there and was very appreciative of the hard work and care put in by the staff. We are hoping with your help to make this day another huge success.

St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley is a local charity with a big ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Providing expert hospice care for local people in West Sussex and East Surrey, St Catherine’s cares for around 2,000 terminally ill people, their family, friends and loved ones. All care is provided free of charge.

As a charity, St Catherine’s relies on donations from the local community to enable it to offer its tailored care when people need it most. In 2016-2017 the total running cost for the Hospice was just over £10 million per year, with only £2.9m being funded by the NHS. By supporting this golf day, you can help make a difference for patients like Clive, who shares his story here.
