The food and beverage department at Hever Castle Golf Club has successfully retained its top food hygiene rating following a recent inspection.

The overall food hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency following the inspection on Tuesday 12 February was the highest possible score: “5 on the doors.”

The golf club in Hever Road, Edenbridge offers a mouth-watering selection of food and drink overlooking the golf course including a monthly delicious Sunday roast in the revamped Astor restaurant. Various parts of the club are also available for venue hire for private parties, events and corporate hospitality.

Head Chef Matthew Mcloughlin, who has been at the golf club since January 2015, said: “We are delighted that our impeccable standards have again been recognised in this way with the highest food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency. This accolade is for everyone in the department, without their hard work we wouldn’t have been able to achieve this.”

Hever Castle Golf Club will soon be opening a new Waterside Bar and Restaurant where visitors will be able to enjoy a range of food and drink overlooking a beautiful landscaped pond and gardens.
