With discount admission for groups of 15 or more (paying) persons and a host of group benefits, extras and packages to enjoy, a visit to Hever Castle & Gardens is the perfect day out for groups.
When you visit as a group the total cost must be paid in a single amount and group rates can only be applied if you all arrive in the grounds together.

Castle Multimedia Guides
Bring 700 years of Hever Castle history to life; be guided through the rooms of the castle with a lively insight into how life might have been in Tudor times when Henry VIII came courting Anne Boleyn at her family home. Discover more about the fine collection of portraits, painting, tapestries and artefacts and learn how William Waldorf Astor, the American millionaire, restored the Castle to how it is today.
Multimedia guides are available in English, French, German, Dutch, Russian and Chinese. A children’s multimedia guide is also available. The multimedia guide lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Take a tour of the castle with an experienced and highly knowledgeable member of the team. Learn about the castle’s rich and varied 700 year history and how it is conserved today. Discover all about those that have owned, lived and worked at the castle. Enjoy detailed facts about the splendid panelled rooms, their fine furniture, tapestries, antiques and an important collection of Tudor paintings.
Castle tours must be pre-booked and are conducted outside of normal opening hours, commencing at 10am and 10.30am. Visitors are divided into groups of no more than 25, with one tour guide per group. Tours last approximately 1 hour and can be given in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish or Italian.
Take a tour of the gardens with one of the Hever Castle gardening team. Learn about the beautiful gardens that were laid out between 1904 and 1908 by Joseph Cheal & Son and designed to display William Waldorf Astor’s magnificent collections of classical Italian statuary. Discover more about the work that goes on today to conserve, restore and improve the gardens. Your tour guide will be happy to answer any questions you have about the gardens and the flora and fauna within them.
This tour is only available in English and lasts approximately 1 hour. Garden Tours must be booked in advance and are only available on weekdays.
In the Footsteps of Tudors
Hever Castle & Gardens and Penshurst Place & Gardens.
Visit two historic estates in Kent brought together by the Tudors.
First, a house tour of Penshurst Place, find out why the Sidney family, who still own it to this day, were gifted the property in 1552 by Henry VIII’s son, Edward VI. Take time to wander the unique historic Baroque gardens before travelling just a few miles west to visit Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn to which she returned repeatedly during her long courtship with Henry VIII.
Cost: £22.50 per person (valid for 2018) includes entrance to Penshurst Place & Gardens with a House or Garden tour, followed by freeflow entrance to Hever Castle & Gardens.
