Visit Father Christmas

pre-booked: father christmas – grotto experience

November 23, 24, 30
December 1, 7 & 8 (Weekends)
December 11 – 24 (Daily)

Nothing says ‘Christmas’ quite like a visit to Father Christmas at Hever Castle. Children will be enchanted by the magical Grotto where they will be greeted by Mother Christmas and taken by an elf, through the snowy ‘forest’, to meet Father Christmas in his log cabin. Each child will take home a special age-appropriate gift.

Before booking, please read the important information at the bottom of this page.

drop-in: father christmas – toy workshop experience

December 7, 8, 14, 15, 20 – 23

Children who have not booked to visit Father Christmas in his Grotto may get the chance to meet him in the Toy Workshop. Kids will have the opportunity to visit him on a first come first served basis and will receive an age-appropriate gift. Tickets cost £8.00 and can only be purchased in the grounds on the day.

  • Children visiting the Grotto require tickets for Father Christmas plus admission tickets. All adults require admission tickets.
  • Advanced booking is essential and we will ask the name and age of each child so that they can receive an appropriate gift.
  • Your booking time is the time you are required to arrive at the Grotto, not your booked time with Father Christmas. This is allocated by Mother Christmas on a first come first served basis when you arrive at the Grotto.  Please do not arrive at the Grotto before this time. Only 2 adults will be permitted into the Grotto per booking.
  • You should arrive in the grounds at least 30 minutes before your visit with Father Christmas. If you miss your slot you may be asked to try again later but may risk not being able to see Father Christmas at all.

  • To enjoy the full experience we recommend you allow 3 hours for your visit. Attractions, shops and eateries will start closing before the final exit time.
  • As much of this experience is outdoors we recommend you wrap up warm and pop on your wellies or suitable shoes.

  • All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • At least one adult or annual member admission ticket must be included in your purchase.
  • All members of your party require admission tickets.
  • Tickets are not secured until you complete your purchase.
  • Please note your booking reference when it appears on the screen.
