Open: 10:30am Final Entry: 3:00pm Last Exit: 4:30pm
Wrap up warm and blow away the cobwebs with winter walks in the stunning Hever Castle gardens. The Castle and Gardens are open daily from 27 December – 1 January for those looking to recharge their batteries after the hustle and bustle of Christmas. During this period you will only need to pay for Garden entry and you’ll receive free entry to the Castle, making it a great value day out for all the family.
Take a stroll in the gardens where the warm red bark of the Redwood trees glows against the winter sky and winter berries glisten in the frost. Hever’s yew topiary looks fantastic with a covering of snow or frost and the majestic hellebores nod gracefully in the winter sun.
The Winter Garden will be in full bloom with intoxicating scents of Daphne and Viburnum filling the air while the fiery reds, oranges and yellows of brightly coloured Dogwood stems lift the spirits. Energetic visitors can bring their wellies and take an exhilarating walk around the Lake. Keep your eyes peeled for signs of wildlife and waterfowl whose footprints can be spotted in the snow and frost.
In the Castle, welcoming log fires will warm cold fingers and toes as visitors take a last look at this year’s Christmas decorations. You can also place wishes on the Wishing Tree and help make someone’s wish come true. Collect your tag from the Information Centre and make a donation to the Make a Wish Foundation.
Always check details before travelling. Hever Castle reserves the right to close all or part of the Castle, grounds, catering outlets and activities, and to change or cancel and events. Please note that use of partner offers may be restricted or not valid on event days.
