autumn at hever castle

Dazzling colours throughout Hever Castle’s gardens and grounds make it a must-visit venue this autumn. As the gardens turn vibrant shades of red, pink and gold and the leaves tumble from the trees, it’s the perfect time to head to the romantic castle in Kent for an autumn walk with the family.

It’s also the season to enjoy the crunch of leaves underfoot, early morning mists and mellow fruitfulness. So pack your walking shoes and enjoy a memorable day out throughout autumn at Hever Castle.

AUTUMN COLOUR:  October 1 – 28

The Castle is arguably at its romantic best in the autumn when the Boston Ivy adorning the front of the Castle turns a vivid shade of red. Visitors will be treated to glorious displays of autumn colour with the rich yellow, red and orange leaves of beech mingling with liquidambars, tulip trees and Japanese maples, all contributing to an explosion of colour.

Throughout October take part in a new self-guided trail around the lake incorporating points of interest including World War II Pillboxes, the waterfall, the impressive Japanese Teahouse and a tick-box list of autumnal coloured trees.
