New swings for Hever Castle play area

August 16 2021 | Attractions Garden

Young visitors can enjoy new swings in the play area behind Tudor Towers adventure playground at Hever Castle & Gardens.

The previous swings needed upgrading after being covered in fallen trees and bracken.

Members of the Hever Castle maintenance team cleared the site before Playdale put the new swings in and supplied a spongey flooring.

Old fallen trees did not go to waste as members of the Visitors Operations team transformed them into new seats and a childrens’ picnic area.

Members of the gardening team added new plants, cleared nettles and tidied up the existing laurel bushes to finish off the new swings.

The whole project took around 3 months to complete.

Visitors to Hever Castle can enjoy three play areas; Acorn Dell, a natural play area aimed at the under 7s, the Tudor Towers adventure playground – a nine metre tall wooden play castle as well as an additional playground with climbing frames, a swings and an aerial runway.
