The Castle Triathlon Series is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year having hosted their first event at Hever Castle in 2009 with 1,100 competitors.
The Hever Castle Triathlon has grown by a huge 500%, and is now the third largest triathlon in the UK with over 6,000 competitors. It’s also been recognised as the world’s largest junior triathlon.
The Series celebrates an unprecedented 43% return rate (36% return for the infamous Bastion Iron Distance event) testament to its stunning locations, festival offering and event atmosphere.
Seasoned athlete, David Bishop, best described the events. “It’s more than just a race. With Castle Tri you enjoy the whole event experience, not just race and leave, and I personally love seeing the children compete.”
To celebrate the 10-year anniversary there will be a few special extra touches to the day. A speaker tent has been added so competitors can receive some expert tips. Plus the Royal Navy Parachute Display Team will be making an appearance from the sky!
