Steve from Steve Hedges Photography is running a one day Christmas photography course at Hever Castle in 2023. With Steve’s guidance, you will cover both the technical and artistic areas of photography.
Hever Castle & Gardens is a fantastic location to learn about composition; in other words how to ‘develop the photographer’s eye,’ alongside how to compose a great image that has impact. The course will also look at how to use light and colour effectively to add mood to each picture.
The day’s learning experience will be tailored to each person so, whether you are a complete beginner or feel you have a reasonable level of experience, this course will be suitable for you. The Christmas photography course will be conducted in a relaxed atmosphere because, as Steve says, “I believe we all learn much more if we are enjoying ourselves”.
Upon completion of this course, a full set of notes will be provided covering all the subjects discussed during the session.
Subjects covered during the day will include camera controls, exposure modes, the exposure histogram, exposure compensation, white balance, focus modes, the creative use of depth of field plus the more artistic side of photography such as composition and the use of light and colour to create an image with impact and mood.
Steve is fully qualified with the Master Photographer’s Association and the Royal Photographic Society. He has also been shortlisted for the Outdoor Photographer of the Year Competition in 2011, 2014 and 2015 and in the British Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition twice, the last time was in 2015.
If you’ve got a passion for photography and want to take your hobby to the next level, a photography course is a perfect way to hone and grow your expertise.
