Make some special family memories this Easter with a garden Easter trail.
Follow clues to find a variety of ‘things that hatch’ as you walk through the grounds. Learn a little about each creature that starts life in an egg before you find them hiding in the gardens.
NB. This year our Easter trail does not include a chocolate egg reward, this is due to government guidelines (at the time of planning) requiring Hever Castle to limit contact between visitors and staff.
*Please print off the Easter trail map before visiting*
As well as the Easter trail, a visit to Hever Castle in spring offers a great chance to explore the stunning gardens. Enjoy a dazzling display of spring blooms from late-flowering daffodils to hyacinths, camellias and tulips.
If your little ones are aged between 7-14, they can explore the Tudor Towers adventure playground with its own moat, drawbridge and three turrets. It features three slides, two poles and interactive elements. Or if they are under 7 the natural play area, Acorn Dell, is perfect for them. With its 2 metre high living willow structure, a giant sandpit, a mound with tunnels to clamber in and a climbing frame, there’s plenty of fun to be had.
Or why not challenge yourself not to get wet in the Water Maze (fun for all ages), have a go at Archery or some Boating on the 38 acre Lake.
And after all this hungry work, enjoy some family time with a variety of food options finished off with ice cream or a variety of mouth-watering homemade cakes.
