Hever Castle is delighted to be supporting British Heart Foundation as its charity of the year for 2024.

The historic attraction is fundraising for the charity from the start of the season, February 2024 to the end of the Christmas event, 1 January 2025. Visitors will be able add a donation when they book a ticket online to Hever Castle and make donations to the charity throughout the year via collection pots on site.

Staff launched the fundraising partnership by wearing red and holding a cake sale on 13th February to mark the charity’s Heart Month. Heart shaped shortbread was also on sale in the cafes to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Fundraising Manager Rebecca Honey said: “We are thrilled that Hever Castle has chosen the British Heart Foundation as their charity partner for 2024. Support from visitors to this beautiful and iconic Kent landmark, coupled with staff fundraising throughout the year, will go a long way to towards helping us power life-saving science to save lives.

“There are 7.6 million people living with heart and circulatory diseases in the UK, and one in four deaths are caused by devastating conditions like coronary heart disease, stroke and vascular dementia. Together we can make a difference by helping people reduce their risk of developing these diseases and live a healthier life, one heartbeat at a time.”

Last year visitors to Hever Castle raised nearly £20,000 in total for Hospice in the Weald and the Alzheimer’s Society.
