Join Hever Castle’s gardeners on a stroll around the grounds or take a self-guided ‘Wildlife Detective’ walk to investigate animal footprints and tracks. In the Castle, discover animals and flowers hidden in the paintings and panelling of the Castle.
Encourage birds into your garden by building a bird feeder in a free workshop or buy a bag of bird food (50p per bag) and feed the birds and ducks at Hever Castle.
Follow a trail of thousands of snowdrops starting to emerge from their winter hibernation on our Snowdrop Walk – the first sign that spring is just around the corner.
With over 80,000 snowdrop bulbs planted in the Gardens over the past seven years, Snowdrop Walk will provide a welcome boost to flagging winter spirits.
Then stroll through the gardens and enjoy the early blossoms of camellia and quince.

Feel uplifted this spring during Hever Castle’s Dazzling Daffodils event taking place from March 20 – 24. The gardens have long been respected for their fabulous show of spring colour and this daffodil event throws the spotlight on the narcissus family, showcasing the new and the best in daffodils.
With 14,000 new daffodil bulbs set to bloom across the gardens, there will be a wide range of varieties to enjoy and put you into a daffodil daze!
Trumpeting the daffodil is expert Johnny Walkers of Walkers Bulbs, winner of 25 consecutive golds at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Along with Hever Castle’s Head Gardener, Johnny will be giving walking tours and talks on the daffodil – what he doesn’t know about daffs isn’t worth knowing!
