The Castle has woken up from its winter hibernation and signs of spring are appearing in the Gardens! Join us for an exciting year ahead and find out what’s on in February and later this spring.
From 11 to 28 February, see Hever Castle’s gardens burst into life with 160,000 snowdrops, early crocuses and seasonal blooms including camellia, quince, hellebores and ‘Early Sensation’ daffodils. Follow a self guided spring trail* through the grounds and explore the newly redesigned Winter Garden. Join gardener Felix Green for a 15 minute Winter Garden Talk at 11:30 on selected February dates. A walk in the gardens at this time will provide a welcome boost to flagging winter spirits.
*We recommend that you wear suitable footwear such as Wellington boots as the ground may be boggy in places and check the website before travelling.

Looking for a fun February half term adventure? Bugs, Boots & Backpacks invites families to explore the outdoors at Hever Castle with hands on, nature inspired activities. Children can build their own bug hotels using natural materials, create clay creatures, discover the giant bug hotel and enjoy creative workshops with Catkin and Conker, ending with a lively muddy Boot Parade.
Activities take place on selected dates from 14 to 22 February, 11:00 to 16:00, and are included with admission unless stated otherwise.

For the first time, Hever Castle has teamed up with award winning animation studio Aardman and the Royal Entomological Society to bring the Lloyd of the Flies Augmented Reality Bug Hunt Trail to the grounds. Using a mobile device, families can scan markers around the gardens to unlock interactive AR scenes, meet Lloyd B Fly and friends, take photos and tick off bugs on their trail list. Perfect for younger visitors seeking fun, active learning outdoors this February.

Discover a world-first exhibition exploring one of history’s most debated faces. Capturing a Queen: The Image of Anne Boleyn brings together the largest ever gathering of portraits believed to depict Anne Boleyn, including a ground-breaking newly identified contemporary image unveiled for the first time.
Developed from new research by Hever Castle historian Dr Owen Emmerson, the exhibition traces how Anne’s image has changed over 500 years and reveals new scientific findings about Hever’s famous ‘Hever Rose’ portrait. You are invited to examine the evidence and vote for the likeness you believe best represents Henry VIII’s most enigmatic queen.

For the second year, Hever Castle hosts the internationally acclaimed Earth Photo Exhibition, in partnership with Forestry England and the Royal Geographical Society. Set across the Castle grounds, the exhibition features striking images from the 2025 Earth Photo competition, exploring nature, people, forests, landscapes and climate change. Using the Castle and gardens as a dramatic backdrop, it invites visitors to reflect on our planet’s beauty and fragility.
On display until 1 March and located on Anne Boleyn’s Walk.
