Charity Golf Day For DEBRA

Sports presenter Steve Rider was among the forty-three golfers teeing off for a charity golf day at Hever Castle Golf Club in aid of the charity DEBRA.

DEBRA is the chosen charity for 2017 of golf club Captains Allan Chase and Paula Slack, and supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB is a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal.

Golfers enjoyed lunch and an auction to raise funds, as well as a chance to Beat the Pro against golfer Nick Algate whose son Freddie suffers from EB.

Club General Manager Jon Wittenberg said: “We were delighted to welcome Steve Rider to Hever Castle Golf Club and we hope despite the cold day that everyone enjoyed a great round of golf and raised lots of money for our Captains’ charity, DEBRA.”
