Willow’s Birds of Prey centre, who entertained visitors with falconry displays over the summer, will be bringing their owls to Christmas at Hever Castle – new for 2022.
Visitors can see some of the owls from Willow’s Birds of Prey Centre in their aviary and learn a little about these magnificent birds or meet them up close and take a photo as a memento (suggested £2 donation to the Willow’s Birds of Prey centre – not available Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve).
Meet Bernie an Alaskan Great Horned Owl, Treacle or Luna a Barn Owl and Crash a Tawny Owl.
As well as getting up and close with the owls visitors can also enjoy a magical Christmas lights experience from 4pm.
Wrap up warm and enjoy a walk under the stars to explore the grounds. Witness the enchantment of the Castle, gardens and lake festooned with fabulous colours and twinkling lights, capturing the spirit of Christmas.
Bring torches and pop on your wellies to see Hever Castle’s much-loved landmarks lit up with glorious colour washes, spectacular illuminations and music. Wander further afield for a trip into ‘space’ where the bright moon shines and illuminated planets fill the evening skies.
Explore the ‘Festive Forest’ with Red the squirrel and meet his joyful woodland friends as Red receives thoughtful seasonal gifts along the charming Christmas Trail and discovers the true meaning of Christmas.
In the Castle you will be met with beautiful traditionally decorated rooms with welcoming log fires and twinkling Christmas trees.
Enjoy a ride on the gallopers in front of the castle, then head to the big wheel or have a go at hook a duck (additional charges apply).
Meet the huskies and take your photo as a memento (donation towards Siberian Husky Welfare Association – on selected dates).
Christmas at Hever Castle takes place from 19 November – 6 December (Wednesday to Sunday daytime, Friday – Sunday twilight) and from 7–23 December, 27–30 December and 1-2 January (daily for daytime and twilight). Daytime only on 24 and 31 December.
