Hever Castle & Gardens has been named as the winner at the Group Leisure & Travel Awards 2022 for best Christmas experience.

The Group Leisure & Travel awards 2022, organised by Group Leisure & Travel magazine, recognise the best attractions, destinations and experiences for groups across the UK.

The awards are voted for by readers of the magazine making it a coveted industry accolade.

The winners of the Group Leisure & Travel Awards 2022 were announced at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Milton Keynes on Wednesday 5 October, hosted by former footballer Kevin Keegan.

Kevin said: “It has been fantastic to see so many people enjoying themselves this evening, what a fantastic night! I’m chuffed for all the winners, you can tell what it means to them by their reaction. It’s that appreciation for what they do, especially over the last few years. There has been such a nice atmosphere.”

The historic attraction beat off competition from Blenheim Palace, Hampton Court Palace, Thursford Christmas Spectacular, Waddesdon Manor and York Christmas Festival to win the award.

A total of 20 awards were presented at the ceremony, now in its 26th year.

Hever Castle & Gardens has many years of experience of working with group travel organisers, teachers, and member of the travel trade and offers a range of experiences, tours and packages for groups visiting the historic attraction.

The Christmas event, which started in 2007, is a highlight of the year for visitors and staff with more than a year of planning from departments such as events, retail, marketing, maintenance and gardening.
