Castle Christmas weddings are available on Monday 23 November and Tuesday 24 November, when the Estate will be closed to the public, offering a private and atmospheric setting.

The Inner Hall, with ornate panelling and richly carved columns made of Italian walnut, can accommodate up to a maximum of 60 guests for a castle wedding ceremony: 50 seated and 10 standing. The Inner Hall is available to book during the day for a ceremony on days when the castle is closed to the public, or for an evening ceremony, between 6.30pm and 8pm.
For your drinks reception, you can stay in the Inner Hall, or move internally from the Castle to the Tudor Suite. Within the Tudor Suite there are three rooms available to use – the Tudor Suite Sitting Room, the Tudor Suite Dining Room, and the Music Room.
Depending on the weather, you may also be able to use the Tudor Suite Lawns or for exclusive use weddings you can have your drinks reception in the Bed & Breakfast Courtyard.

The Great Hall boasts an elaborately carved Minstrels Gallery resting on a series of carved musicians and an impressive stone fireplace surmounted by the Boleyn coat of arms. This accommodates up to a maximum of 40 guests for a castle wedding breakfast, seated on impressive long banqueting tables. The Dining Hall is available during the day as a castle wedding venue when the castle is closed to the public or evenings after 6.30pm.
For Castle weddings, an evening reception can be held in the Moat Restaurant accommodating up to 120 guests for dancing with a licensed bar until midnight. After the wedding breakfast, guests are escorted from the Castle to the Moat Restaurant via the Castle drawbridge and forecourt. On route guests can experience the beauty of the estate at a time when all our day visitors have departed. As dusk falls, the floodlit Castle provides a stunning backdrop to your evening reception. There is also the option to book a tipi on the Tudor Lawn, with views of the Castle and moat. On some dates throughout the year the Guthrie Pavilion can be booked, a stunning Palladian style contemporary venue located adjacent to the Rose Garden. Wedding photographs can be taken in the Castle, the Astor Wing and the surrounding lawns. A time can be arranged for photographers to shoot outside the Castle, in the Italian Garden and the Loggia.
There is also a private car park for Castle wedding venue parties, accessed via the private gated entrance to the Astor Wing.
There are 17 luxury, five star bedrooms located in the Astor Wing. Guests can check in from 3pm and check out the next morning is by 10.30am.
We have a total of 26 bedrooms on the Hever Castle Estate, however, should you require more than the 18 bedrooms in the Astor Wing, one of our wedding planners will be happy to discuss the possibility of incorporating these additional nine bedrooms into your wedding.
The stunning location in the heart of the Garden of England is complemented by a varied menu which offers a choice of seasonal dishes, produced by our own highly acclaimed and talented team of chefs.

Hever Castle has played host to many important events and celebrations for over 600 years. In 1903 when William Waldorf Astor set about restoring Hever Castle to its former glory, he added the Astor Wing, to accommodate his family and guests, before creating a lake and the spectacular Italian Garden to house his impressive collection of ancient Greek and Roman statuary.
