Get back to basics and learn in small groups about the science behind plant growth and the soil environment to form an excellent foundation of knowledge, enabling you to become an informed gardener. Discover by ‘doing’ in a practical setting, learning in a world famous garden with an enthusiastic and energetic tutor.

Take the next step in gardening; learn basic botany and the language of botanical nomenclature. Discover how to identify plants, their unique growth habits and where each one thrives. Delve into the finer details as you become familiar with leaves, stems roots and flowers. Learning about the parts of plants is the basis of good gardening, especially when it comes to propagation.

The soil environment is an amazing foundation for all growth, and a topic that is becoming more important as our soils become depleted. Learn how to create healthy, life supporting soil, which in turn leads to healthy plants and beautiful gardens.
