TULIP CELEBRATIONS 24 – 30 April
TULIP UPDATE: Mother Nature clearly had her own plan this year and the tulips have bloomed slightly earlier than expected. If you are planning to visit Hever Castle for the tulips we want you to know what has bloomed and what has not! Therefore, we have set up this news page. We will continue to update this page with photographs so you can decide when you would like to visit the tulips.
Bulb master and holder of 25 coveted Chelsea gold medals, Johnny Walkers helped to select the tulip varieties at Hever Castle for 2019, with the express intention of extending the flowering season from early April through to mid May.
If you would like a more immersive tour of the Tulips, there will be free tours with Hever Castle’s head gardener, Neil Miller, at 11:30 each day.
The striking blooms will continue inside the Castle with tulip displays by in-house florist Pamela Brise.
An exciting new development for 2019 sees Hever Castle open up Park Wood to visitors. You will have a chance to see the untouched carpet of bluebells in an area that is usually closed. As soon as the bluebells bloom, head to Hever’s woodland and go on a magical walk.
