Due to the early blooming of the tulips some event activities and timings have changed from those previously advertised.**
Be uplifted by 7000 tulip bulbs proudly standing to attention and providing a visual feast of spring colour.
The epitome of elegance, tulips look spectacular planted en masse in either a kaleidoscope of mixed colours or in a uniform colour palette. Wander through the grounds and marvel at the thousands of tulips, in 60 varieties, planted outside the Castle, in the Tudor Garden and throughout the Italian Garden.
Around the Castle walls look out for varieties such as ‘Orange Lion’ interplanted with Erysimum ‘Vulcan’ a dwarf variety of wallflower with velvety crimson flowers.
The Italian Garden looks stunning with 2,000 tulips planted in wonderful formal displays including some unusual green varieties such as ‘Spring Green’ (white with a green stripe), ‘Evergreen’ (green with a yellow stripe) and ‘Green Jay’.”
