Reflexologist Louise Wanstall was living in Switzerland with teacher husband, Steve when she started having reflexology to combat fertility problems.
It worked and daughter Amelie was born, sparking an interest in the treatment.
She trained at The Maureen Burgess School of Reflexology and achieved her Reflexology Diploma (Level 3) through the ABC Awarding Body.
Louise also has a Diploma in Pre-conceptual, Pregnancy & Postnatal Reflexology and extra training in Anatomy & Physiology and the effect of Lifestyle Choices & Environmental Factors on Fertility.
She now offers treatments at Hever Health & Wellbeing, having joined the team in October 2019.
Reflexology is a natural, healing therapy. It is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet that correspond to every part and organ of the body.
Applying pressure to these reflexes releases blockages, which interfere with the body’s natural flow.
Reflexology brings a deep relaxation, whilst at the same time stimulates the body, increases blood flow, eases tension, improves circulation and eliminates toxins to give a sense of wellbeing.
It does not claim to diagnose, treat or prescribe but has shown to be effective in helping to alleviate or improve a range of conditions including:
• Headaches and migraines
• Stress, anxiety and depression
• Pregnancy and fertility
• Sleep disorders
• Sports injuries
• Skin disorders
• Hormonal imbalances
• Digestive issues
• Relieving toxins, blood flow, relaxation
The mum of two says: “I love seeing the health benefits and seeing the difference it makes to people. Reflexology puts the whole body back to balance. It’s just amazing.”
Louise Wanstall treats a range of different conditions and says of all the clients she has treated for fertility only one woman has not fallen pregnant as a result. She even says if you seek IVF treatment you are asked if you have had reflexology first.
She also treats clients at the Ingledale Centre and in people’s homes.
