This summer the BSL Interpreted Jousting Tournament returns, this year with the addition of Falconry.
On Saturday 10 August, a designated BSL (British Sign Language) area within the Jousting Field will be available with interpretation of the event for those with hearing impairments and their friends and families to enjoy.
The Knights of Royal England will be entertaining visitors with exhilarating displays of action, stunts, falls and fights in an authentic arena complete with a Royal Box. Battling it out in the saddle and on foot in one-to-one combat, the valiant knights will then compete for points to find this season’s ultimate champion. Choose which knight to support and then cheer them to glory.
On this day you can also be entertained by the falconry displays from Willow’s Bird of Prey Centre. The displays will last about 20 minutes and will happen twice a day. After the displays, you’ll have a chance to see these wonderful birds of prey up close and personal.
Entrance to the BSL interpretation area at the Jousting Tournament and Falconry is included in a BSL Gardens Only or BSL Castle & Gardens admission ticket.
Please do not book BSL Interpreted Jousting tickets unless someone in your party has a hearing impairment.
