A day in the life of a wedding and events co-ordinator

January 25 2024 | Weddings

Sarah Grove is one of the weddings and events co-ordinators at Hever Castle. She explains what a typical day is like for her.

I spent the first hour of the day checking emails and responding to enquiries.

Then I headed into the Castle with one of my 2024 brides, this bride is actually debating whether to have a Castle or Astor Wing wedding so we went through different options based on what would suit her number requirements. We discussed table plans layout options and I also showed her photos taken by our recommended supplies to provide inspiration and help to visual the space.

Then we bumped into Pamela our in house florist, we discussed some flower arrangements to suit the venue, then I took her to the Astor Wing as another option for a wedding ceremony where the Tudor Suite Lawns are located for reception drinks and it has a beautiful view of the castle.

At lunchtime I grabbed my colleague Sherry for a lovely walk around the estate.

Once I was back it was time to check over bedrooms for arriving guests to the Bed and Breakfast and do the final touches to ensure our high standards are maintained.

I finished up the day writing cards to all of our 2024 couples.
