What’s On in November & December 2025

It feels like everyone has got into the Christmas spirit extra early this year and we are embracing it! Visit us during November and December and feel the festive cheer all around. Here is what else you can expect to find going on:

Daytime Christmas

This Christmas, spend quality time with loved ones and enjoy a seasonal experience as you journey through the magical Land of Oz – there’s no place like Hever!

In the Castle you will be met with beautiful traditionally decorated rooms, welcoming log fires and twinkling Christmas trees.

In front of the Castle you can ride the gallopers, your little ones can have a go on an octopus ride then head to the big wheel. (additional charges apply).

Appreciate relaxed Christmas shopping in the Gift Shops, and feast on delicious seasonal food in the cafes and kiosks.

You can also spend time at the Play Areas, in the Yew Maze, Garden Exhibition and Military Museum and on Lake Walk. The Miniature Model Houses will also be open to visitors.

Twilight Christmas

The magical Christmas Lights experience starts from 16:00 when you can wrap up warm and enjoy a walk under the stars to explore the grounds. Witness the enchantment of the Castle, gardens and lake festooned with fabulous colours and twinkling lights, capturing the spirit of Christmas.

Bring torches and pop on your wellies to see Hever Castle’s much-loved gardens lit up with glorious colour washes, spectacular illuminations and music.

Head into the Castle and you will be met with beautiful traditionally decorated rooms, welcoming log fires and twinkling Christmas trees.

Time slots are starting to sell out for Twilight visits so make sure you pre-book ahead of time so you don’t miss out!

Father Christmas

Nothing says ‘Christmas’ quite like a visit to Father Christmas at Hever Castle in the Grotto. You’ll be greeted by Mother Christmas before journeying along a tree-lined path, passing the reindeer stables, and encountering cheerful elves along the way.

We now have limited availability for visits to meet Father Christmas and we have sold out of all weekend Father Christmas tickets. Don’t miss out!

Pre-booking is essential.

Christmas in the Castle

This year tickets include entry to the Castle AND Gardens, meaning everyone gets to see the Castle dressed for the festive season.

Inside the Castle, you’ll find beautifully decorated rooms, welcoming log fires, and twinkling Christmas trees highlighting our Christmas in the Land of Oz theme, plus discover fun facts about the the original Wizard of Oz book written by L. Frank Baum. Experience the ‘Magic of Christmas Past’, including a Tudor Christmas in the Boleyn Apartment.

N.B. Audio Guides will not be available during the Christmas experience.
