May, the month where the gardens are awoken for summer, the days seem never ending and the temperatures begin to soar (hopefully!). The gardens spark into life with displays of azaleas and rhododendrons – it’s most definitely the month to explore the Estate.
We also have a number of wonderful events being held over the summer months including Art Week for May Half Term, a celebration for the Queen’s Jubilee, a car event for Father’s Day Weekend and Hever in Bloom.
Find out what’s on in May at Hever Castle:
Get arty this May half term at Hever Castle & Gardens.
Learn about works of art, become an artist for the day, enter an art competition, dig for mosaic pieces, create a bookmark with Origami paper and search for paintings in the grounds and Castle. There really is something for everyone during Art Week.
If you’d like to take part in the art competition during your visit simply depict the Castle or gardens in any style for a chance to win a prize.
Your little ones can also enjoy a free 30 minute show.

Where better to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee than the home of two former queens of England.
Come and celebrate the Queen and her 70 year reign in the beautiful grounds of Hever Castle. A whole of host of celebratory activities will be taking place over the weekend including a jewel hunt in the Castle and art trail in the grounds.
It isn’t a celebration without food, so, bring your own party food and take part in Hever’s own ‘street party’ style picnic fit for royalty, or purchase some mouthwatering treats from the Moat Café.
